#288 - How to create an event and launch an email invitation

Below are the main steps for creating an event on the IMechE website and advertising it. This process uses two different web platforms.

The first part is in the event creation from SitefinityCMS:

Notes:

Attention to the character limits and to the width of the images (e.g., less than 500px). Changing the status from Draft to Active will generate the event's URL.

The second part is the advertisement creation from dotdigital:

Select a template from the Custom templates, such as Single Event Template.

Take some information from the event, such as the URL, text and details to build the advertisement.
