#241 - AVEVA How to set-up a Client Platform

- Configure SMS in the server, then the Identity Manager

- Configure SMS in the client and assign the server (e.g. xxx-gr-01.company.com), then the Identity Manager.

- If the error appears "Remote Node's UserId/Password don't match GR Node's", edit the hosts file in: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc xx.xx.0.1         xx-gr-01 xx.xx.0.2      xx-aos1 xx.xx.0.3         xx-aos2 xx.xx.0.4         xx-client-01 xx.xx.0.5     xx-his-01

- In GR unshare the ViewApp in Computer Management > Shared Folders > Shares

- In Client, run the "Change Network Account"

- In Client, run the OSConfigurationUtility. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA

- Repair installation of ASP

Troubleshooting:

- dcomcnfg on Client, Components Servoces > Computer > MyComputer > DCOM Config > WWPim > Right-click properties Identity

> Change WWPim from "system account" to "This user":

machine-name\ArcNet

password: ***

- In computer management, check that this user above is Member of the Administrators

- Check Microsoft updates: KB (Control Panel > Program and Features > View Install Updates 

- Check Services: AVEVA Bootstrap Proxy gRPC is Running, and Log On 

- Try to Deploy the Platform / ViewEngine / ViewApp. 

> Error: HRESYLT E_FAIL when trying to deploy the ViewApp has been returned from a call to a COM component. 

- Open Configurator on Client PC. 

> SMS configured but not Identity Manager.

> Error when trying to configure gRPC: AVEVA failed to connect to SR node to retrieve solution configuration. Reason: No endpoints found.

> Unconfigure SMS and reboot the PC. 

> Check on GR-Node service AVEVA Identity Manager is Running (AIMTokenHost service name). Restart service. 

> Re-test configuration gRPC and Identity Manager Registration in Client BEFORE configuring SMS, then configure SMS server: <gr-01>.companyurl.com

Have ALL Green SMS and AIM. 

> Check firewalls are disabled.

> Check User Account Control (uac) settings disabled.

> Redploy Client Platform: local installation version different. Check version: Control Panel > Programs > Program and Features. They have to be the same version, e.g. 2023R2 != 2023R2 SP1
