- The easiest way to configure a Stratix switch is through the Express setup. To activate it press and hold the button for about 20 seconds, then press for another second until the configuration port starts to blink.
- Set the PC to DHCP and connect to the configuration port, then open the web browser at the default web address: 192.168.1.254 (login: admin/ password: switch).
- Follow the screens to complete the configuration.
- Download the latest available firmware on the Rockwell's Compatibility Website and install it through the web browser. From the
Administration menu, select Software Upgrade and in Upgrade Mode choose INSTALL from the drop-down menu.
- Assign the smart ports depending on the roles:
- Mirroring a port and analysing it in wireshark can be useful for troubleshooting. To set up a mirror source and destination ports, in the web browser go to Configuration > Layer 2 > SPAN and then click on Add.
