#208 - Import configuration from SinemaRC into OpenVPN

From SinemaRC webpage, export the settings:

Import the file into OpenVPN and reconnect:

When prompted to insert the password, enter the same password as for the SinemaRC.

In SinemaRC, define the subnet range of the PLC network in the Remote Subnet field (e.g. 192.168.1.0/24).

Configure the Gateway settings of the PLC, in the PLC project, e.g. 192.168.1.254.

Configure the Gateway of the other automation devices (VFDs) to be the PLC IP, so the PLC will act as a Gateway for these devices.

Ping the PLC from the host, and also check the tracert command to verify the route. The VPN address field (e.g. 172.1.0.0), set in SinemaRC, will also appear in the tracert route.

In the VM, use the NAT NIC for the remote connection. Note that if the VM has two NICs, the other NIC may have to be disabled if problems with the connection occurs.

Hardware for remote connection: SCALANCE M876-4 4G-Router

The four LEDs (L, SC, Q, Locker) have to be On as in the photo. The Q state will change depending on the signal.
