#34 - Connecting to a NORD inverter with Nordcon

There are two ways to connect to a NORD inverter, which are via Ethernet or Serial. In this post we will show you how to make this connection via Ethernet, read the parameters of the Inverter and edit the parameters Online, make a backup / restore of the data of an Inverter and make a jog in manual.

It is possible to enter a range of IP addresses to scan, for example from node 0 to node 50:


After scanning the network, click on the device in the Ethernet tree and it will be possible to read the current parameters of the Inverter. On this screen we are Online and it is possible to edit the parameters Online. 



The Devices report tab shows the current values ​​of frequency, voltage and current

Making a backup / restore: Right click on the Inverter and select Parameter transfer FROM device (backup) or TO device (restore). The file created is of type * .ndbx.
Jogging in manual: right click on the Inverter and select Remote control. Note: to enable the jog, the motor must be stopped (0Hz).
Using the commands in the window that opens, the current frequency is shown and it is possible to use the commands (buttons below) to activate manual mode, increase or decrease the frequency and change the direction of rotation:
